Help us find boba worth knowing about
Submit a Boba Shop
Know a boba shop that deserves a closer look? Send it to Boba.guide. We are building local discovery guides that go beyond a shop name and map pin. We want to understand what a place actually serves, where it is, what makes its menu distinctive and which details can be verified for readers.
You can submit an independent shop, local chain, kiosk, market stall, café with a serious boba menu or another real place where bubble tea is available.
You do not need to own the business. Customers, employees, owners and local boba enthusiasts can all point us toward places worth investigating.
Think of it as a shop passport
The Basic Identity We Need to Find the Right Place
Local businesses frequently share similar names. One accurate location is better than several uncertain details.
IDENTITY
Start with the business as it actually appears publicly
Use the current shop name rather than a nickname. If the business is part of a chain, identify the specific location you are submitting.
For shops in markets where the local-language name differs from the English name, both can be useful.
Exact public-facing business name.
Include state, province, district or region when it helps distinguish the location.
The full current address where possible.
A Google Maps, Apple Maps or other reliable map listing can help us resolve similarly named businesses.
Useful for checking current hours, menus, announcements and ownership of the listing.
The information that turns a pin into a useful recommendation
Six Details That Make a Shop Submission Much Stronger
Independent boba shop, Taiwanese tea shop, dessert café, bakery, chain location, kiosk, market stall or another format.
Milk tea, fruit tea, pure tea, fresh milk drinks, brown sugar drinks, coffee, matcha, slushes, smoothies, unusual toppings or another meaningful part of the menu.
Maybe the tea is unusually serious, the topping menu is large, the shop specializes in one regional style, the prices are notable, or there is a drink you rarely see elsewhere.
If you have a current menu photo, official menu URL or recent ordering screenshot, tell us when you saw it.
Signature drink, standout tea, topping worth trying, unusual ordering system, cash-only policy, limited hours or another practical detail.
Customer, owner, employee, supplier, photographer, local resident or another relationship. Commercial connections are not disqualifying; they simply need to be clear.

Evidence That Makes Verification Easier
None of these are mandatory, but they can make a submission substantially more useful.
Official menu URL, menu photograph, ordering screen or other recent menu evidence.
Current drink prices, topping surcharges or size pricing — with currency and market clearly identified.
Especially useful for independent locations, but hours can change and may need rechecking before publication.
Exterior, drinks, menu, toppings or interior context if you created the photographs and have the right to submit them.
Particularly useful in Taiwan and other markets where the English listing may omit meaningful parts of the original name.
Exact drink, tea base, sweetness, ice and topping choices can reveal more than a generic statement that the boba was good.
Your relationship changes the context, not whether you may submit
Customers, Owners and Employees Are All Welcome
You found somewhere worth trying
Tell us what you ordered, what stood out and when you visited. Your experience is useful context, but it does not need to sound like a formal review.
You want Boba.guide to know your shop exists
Provide accurate current business information and identify your relationship to the shop. Promotional language may be useful background, but it will not automatically become independent editorial description.
You know how the shop actually works
Operational context can be valuable, especially for menu terminology, tea, toppings and preparation. Tell us whether information is public, shop-specific or something that should not be attributed publicly.

What a Strong Shop Submission Looks Like
You do not need to copy this format exactly. It simply shows the level of context that helps.
Pearl Mountain Tea
Queens, New York, USA
Full street address included
The menu separates several Taiwanese oolong teas rather than using one generic “oolong milk tea,” and offers small and large tapioca pearls separately.
Four Seasons oolong, 30% sweetness, less ice, small pearls.
Menu photo from August 2026 and official social account included.
Customer; no business relationship with the shop.

How a Submitted Shop Becomes Usable Local Information
A shop submission is a discovery lead, not an automatic listing. That distinction is important throughout our community workflow.
Confirm we have the correct business
We may compare the submitted name, address, map listing, website and public profiles to distinguish branches and similarly named shops.
Review current public information
Menus, prices, hours, locations and offerings can change. Time-sensitive details may need current verification before we rely on them.
Identify what actually makes the shop distinctive
A long menu alone is not necessarily meaningful. Tea quality, regional specialties, topping preparation, ingredient choices, pricing, accessibility or another concrete detail may matter more.
Decide where the information belongs
A verified shop may become relevant to a city guide, local discovery page, broader shop research, regional example or another appropriate part of Boba.guide.
Submitting your own business is allowed
Shop Submission Is Not Paid Placement
Owners and employees are welcome to submit their businesses. We simply ask that the relationship is disclosed.
There is no automatic favorable review
Providing accurate shop information helps us research the business. It does not buy a positive editorial conclusion.
A submission is different from advertising
If the actual goal is a sponsored campaign, paid placement, affiliate arrangement or another commercial partnership, use our Work With Boba.guide route instead.
Marketing claims remain marketing claims
Statements such as “best boba in the city,” “healthiest milk tea” or “100% authentic” require context and are not automatically adopted as editorial facts.
Photos can make a local submission much more useful
If You Send Shop, Drink or Menu Photos
Tell us if you took it. Do not present a photograph copied from another creator as your own material.
Include location and date when possible. A menu photo is much more useful when we know which branch and market it documents.
Consider privacy before sending photographs where identifiable customers, employees or children are a major part of the frame.
Do not change menu prices, labels, storefront information or other factual content and then submit the edited image as documentary evidence.
Our Image and Photography Policy explains rights, documentary images, AI-generated imagery, editing and attribution in more detail.
What submission does — and does not — mean
No Shop Is Guaranteed Inclusion
Submitting a business does not guarantee a listing, article, ranking, recommendation, photograph, backlink or publication date.
A shop may be legitimate but outside the scope of a particular guide. Information may be too incomplete to verify. A location may have closed. A submitted claim may conflict with stronger evidence. Or the business may simply be more appropriate for another part of the site’s future local coverage.
Likewise, omission from Boba.guide should not be interpreted as a negative judgment about a business.
Our broader Community and Submission Guidelines explain how reader and contributor information enters the editorial process.
